Building on the foundation of healthy alignment and active muscular engagement, poses are linked with the breath and generally "flow" to encourage the evolution of one's practice as moving meditation.

Form & Flow (Level 2) classes work from a base of vigorous sun salutations to explore challenging variations of poses, including arm balances, deeper twist variations, standing balance poses, inversions, and backbends. Level 2 teachers are skilled at offering modifications that build towards a pose in a way that is safe and appropriate for each individual student. Breath work and meditation are also often explored in these classes.

This class builds stamina and strength while also developing grace and flexibility. This class is appropriate for students with a solid flow yoga practice, and intermediate practitioners.

Iian
Mull

RYT-500 Yoga Teacher

Iian has been studying movement and the body for most of his life. At the age of 5, he joined a swim team and over the next 20 years, became one one of the world's best swimmers. He has dedicated much of his and early adulthood practicing and studying technique, hydrodynamics, and anatomy and physiology, to achieve peak performance.

He began his "official" yoga journey in 2002 with his first-ever yoga class with Rodney Yee in the San Francisco Bay area, where he was living at the time. Since then he's been able to practice under the guidance of amazing teachers such as Mark Stephens, Rusty Wells, and Kofi Busia.

His personal practice has developed steadily (and not so steadily at times) over the years. In January of 2018 Iian decided to take the next big step in his journey by becoming a a certified yoga teacher under the tutelage of his current teacher, Hilaire Lockwood. He received his 200-hour certification in June of 2018; 500-hour certification in August of 2019; and is currently working to complete his 750-hour certification.

Iian's teaching style is both playful and challenging. He strives to bring a sense of lightness, inquisitiveness, and creativity to the yoga flows that he teaches. You can expect to perspire, laugh, be challenged, be safe, and fall deeply into your practice and yourself.

Alisha
Forest

RYT-200 Yoga Teacher

As a high school mid-distance runner from a small town, Alisha started practicing yoga in the early 2000s in her parents’ rec room, with videos as her teacher. She lost touch with the practice during her college and early career years, but became a practitioner in the Mt. Pleasant yoga

community in 2017.

Alisha began yoga teacher training at OmBodies in 2023, seeking relief from whole-body fibromyalgia pain and long covid symptoms. With this in-depth understanding of yoga and functional wellness, she has learned to manage and understand her conditions. She is currently pursuing her 500-hour certification, and hopes to add Yoga Therapeutics to her list of specialties.

Her passion is spreading awareness of the necessity of being gentle with our bodies and helping people understand how to move safely, throughout practice and life. Alisha’s teaching style is engaging and empathetic. Her classes seek to challenge students to become stronger and deepen their practice, while also stressing the importance of listening to the body and respecting its needs.

Experienced. Dedicated. Passionate.

Carlin 2.jpg

Carlin
Caszatt

E-RYT 200 Yoga Teacher

Carlin found her way to yoga in 2010 after the birth of her children. While focusing on her family and raising her wonderful children, she felt like she was losing herself in the process. Having been a competitive gymnast, Carlin felt like she needed to find movement again. She was attracted to yoga for the physical benefits, but soon realized that it had much more to offer. Carlin fell in love with the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of the yoga practice and continued to develop her own personal practice over the years, finding a particular enjoyment in the challenge and strength of inversions.

Carlin has a Bachelor of Science in Health Fitness from Central Michigan University and also attended the Naturopathic Institute of Therapies and Education and found that the natural benefits of yoga complemented her education and beliefs.

In 2012 Carlin decided to deepen her knowledge of yoga by enrolling in the 200-Hour OmBodies Yoga Teacher Training program and has been enjoying teaching ever since.

Emma
Theisen

RYT-200 Yoga Teacher

Licensed Naturopathic Doctor

Emma began practicing yoga in 2010 during a very challenging time in her undergraduate career. Through her yoga practice she found herself feeling more grounded and joyful. Yoga proved to be more than just a physical practice, but truly a holistic practice that works the mind, body and soul, allowing healing to happen. Her practice has ebbed and flowed while in school and having children, but she knew that becoming a yoga teacher was something she wanted to add to her knowledge of holistic healing methods.  In 2023 she started her 200 hour yoga teacher training at OmBodies, completing it in February 2024. She has found true joy and honor in teaching yoga to others.

Emma received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Central Michigan University and she received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Washington state. She has also received her massage license from Bellevue Massage School in Washington state.

Her vinyasa yoga classes are based on safe alignment and movement, while exploring how one’s body feels with yoga philosophy mixed in. She hopes students feel grounded and safe to explore movement in their bodies.
